16th July 2025, Bhubaneswar: The Department of Higher Education has issued a directive to form Internal Committees (ICs) in all colleges without delay. A letter has been sent to registrars of all universities and principals of colleges, instructing them to submit a report on the Internal Committee within 24 hours.16th July 2025,
The letter also states that detailed information regarding the committee members, including their names and contact numbers, must be uploaded on the HIMS portal.
In addition, the institutions have been directed to conduct awareness workshops on sexual harassment prevention as part of the initiative.
