High School Headmasters Undergo Leadership Training at IIM — 50 More to Join from June 9

Bhubaneswar: In two earlier phases, 100 school heads have already completed their training. Now, another batch of 50 head masters will be heading to IIM Ahmedabad starting on the 9th of this month and will undergo training until the 13th. After completing the training, these principals will also be responsible for providing training to nearby school heads.

The training focuses on increasing student attendance, enhancing quality education, promoting digital learning, and effective library management to make schools more attractive to students.

School and Mass Education Minister Nityananda Gond told the media that the state government is committed to strengthening school education. The department is organizing such capacity-building training programs to attract students and parents towards government schools.

Bhubaneswar, 06 (Bureau): In schools, teaching will be conducted using more engaging and innovative methods. Efforts will be made to make government schools more appealing to students. Lessons will be delivered in classrooms in a way that actively engages students. Reducing dropout rates and improving school management will be given high priority.

With this vision, the School and Mass Education Department has arranged for skill development training for headmasters of government high schools and head masters of higher secondary schools. The training is being provided at the prestigious Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Ahmedabad.

Each head mastersis undergoing a 5-day intensive training session in management and leadership.
