Nabarangpur ,17th Sept 2025: In Nabarangpur district, the “Healthy Women, Empowered Family Campaign” is set to begin from September 17 and will continue until October 2, 2025. On this occasion, a district-level coordination meeting was held on September 11, 2025, under the chairmanship of District Collector Dr. Maheshwar Swain.
In this meeting, officers from the Health, Education, Women & Child Development, District Social Welfare, and Mission Shakti departments were present.
As part of the campaign, health awareness and screening camps will be organized in:
- District Headquarters Hospital
- All Community Health Centers (CHCs)
- Primary Health Centers (PHCs)
- Sub-Health Centers
- Ayushman Arogya Mandirs
These camps, running from September 17 to October 2, will focus on disease diagnosis and health awareness. Special health checkups and services will be provided exclusively for women and children, particularly adolescent girls of all age groups.
The campaign will include:
- Blood tests
- Non-communicable disease screenings
- Anemia screening
- Sickle cell screening
- Blood sugar testing
Alongside this, VHSND (Village Health Sanitation and Nutrition Days) and immunization programs will also be conducted in:
- Designated villages
- Schools
- Villages with populations above 1,000
In addition, tentulikhunti block’s Silanr village experienced a fire outbreak, though further details were not mentioned.
Across the district, the campaign will be implemented in:
10 CHCs
40 PHCs
289 Sub-Health Centers
1 Urban PHC
Ayushman Arogya Mandirs
Specialist doctors will lead dedicated health camps at all community health centers.
The District Collector has directed all departments to collaborate for the success of the campaign.
