Headmasters’ Meeting Held to Review Students’ Performance and Pre-Matric Scholarship Implementation

Nabarangpur, 28th Oct 2025: Under the chairmanship of District Education Officer, Chhatrapati Sahu, a meeting of all headmasters and teachers of higher secondary schools was held at the District Education and Training Institute, Nabarangpur. The meeting was attended by the District Collector, Deputy District Education Officer, District Science Inspector, District Student Coordinator, Program Manager, Piramal Foundation, and all school headmasters and teachers.

During the meeting, the results of the “Huper-100” initiative were reviewed. Discussions were held on how to improve students’ academic performance in the district and prepare effective plans for upcoming examinations. Strategies were devised to ensure higher A1 and A2 grade results in the next board exams. Plans were also made to ensure that 100% of students succeed in the upcoming matriculation exams.

Teachers were instructed to implement a 100-day action plan to enhance student performance. The District Collector discussed the scholarships being awarded to students. From this year, measures were planned to improve pre-matric student growth and OTR (Online Teacher Reporting), including how teachers can effectively utilize OTR for academic progress.

Discussions were held on ensuring 100% of pre-matric students succeed. Additionally, under the “Sahid Madhe Singh Hat” expenditure plan, it was decided to provide ₹5,000 to students from Scheduled Tribes studying in 9th and 11th grades. Pre-matric students receive scholarships ranging from ₹3,506 to ₹7,000 depending on the service category.

Eligibility for pre-matric scholarships requires that the monthly family income does not exceed ₹2,50,000 and that the student belongs to a Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribe studying in a government school. Pre-matric scholarship applications can be submitted through the State Scholarship Portal and the OTR National Student Growth Portal. The last date to apply for student growth scholarships is 16th December 2025.
