Haj House to Be Constructed in Bhubaneswar, Announces Chief Minister

Bhubaneswar,16th July 2025: The state government is committed to the development of minorities. To support the education of children from minority communities, the government has provided a one-time grant of Rs 5 crore. Additionally, 100 multipurpose community centers will be constructed for the Muslim community over the next three years. These centers will serve to promote cultural development and communal harmony in the state.

During the event, Minister Ramesh Chandra Majhi, MLAs Ayub Khan and Debashish Samantaray, Odisha Film Development Corporation Chairman Muna Khan, and other dignitaries were present.

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik announced that the construction of a Haj House in Bhubaneswar will begin very soon, and land has already been identified for the project. This was stated by the Chief Minister during a program organized to honor Haj pilgrims.

Mr. Patnaik also mentioned that efforts are being made to establish an embarkation point at Biju Patnaik International Airport in Bhubaneswar for Haj pilgrims.

He reiterated that his government is fully dedicated to the welfare and upliftment of minority communities.
