Groundbreaking Ceremony Held for Shri Lakshminrusimha Temple Construction

Nabarangpur, Jan 28:The groundbreaking (Bhoomi Pujan) ceremony for the construction of Shri Lakshminrusimha Temple was held at Lalita Dei Sasan near Nabarangpur town.

Local resident Govinda Mahapatra donated one acre of his ancestral property to the Temple Management Trust for the construction of the temple. He also expressed his intention to build a Kalyan Mandap (community hall) within the temple premises and dedicate it to social welfare and community service activities.

A day before the Bhoomi Pujan, the temple trust brought sacred Agyanmala (garlands of divine consent) from Simanchal Shri Varaha Nrusingha Temple and another from the Shri Jagannath Temple in Puri. Both sacred garlands and the consecrated foundation stone were ceremoniously taken out in a grand procession with devotional chanting and kirtan from Nabarangpur Jagannath Temple to the temple site near Sasan village.
At the site, Vedic rituals, including a homa yajna, were performed by learned priests, and the foundation stone was laid.

Among those present were Nabarangpur MLA Gouri Shankar Majhi, Government Advocate Jhadeshwar Khadanga, social worker Jagannath Mahapatra, State President of Shaheed Smruti Sansad Munna Tripathy, Chief Engineer Mohammad Sakur, Matru Ashraya Ashram Chairperson Kadambini Tripathy, along with many distinguished guests, hundreds of devotees, and members of the public.

It may be noted that the temple trust includes Devendra Patra as President, Jagannath Behera as Vice-President, Dasharath Pattnaik as Secretary, Yudhishthir Parida as Treasurer, and Shivashankar Tripathy as Organizing Secretary. Executive committee members include Rabindra Bhanja Panda, Prabhat Mahanti, M. Ananda Rao, Kailash Chandra Subuddhi, Narendra Nayak, Bal Gopal Pattnaik, Rajendra Prasad Mahapatra, C.H. Venkata Rao, C.H. Bhaskar Rao, Kamal Ghosh, Devi Prasad Tripathy, Jyotirmaya Mahapatra, Nilakantha Bhatra, Rita Sikdar, Manorama Majhi, Hemalata Majhi, along with Sunil Maharana, Rina Rani Sahu, Narmada Panigrahi, Suchanda Ghosh, M. Anita Anand, and others.
