Kosagumuda, 22nd Sept 2025: A Food Fair and an Awareness Chariot for the promotion of millet-based food and minor crops was inaugurated in the premises of Kosagumuda Block in Nabarangpur district by the organization RCIDC, Kosagumuda.
The event was inaugurated by Block Chairperson Sarbeswari Majhi and Block Agriculture Officer Duryodhan Jani.
Present at the inauguration were Agriculture Overseer Sarbes Patil, CDPO Yamuna Bhatra, BPC Mission Shakti Mangalsingh Halba, BSS and Soumyaranjan Nayak, Supply Officer Manas Ranjan Jena, employees of APC project and MMJEL, Anganwadi workers, and SHG members.
At this Food Fair organized by RCIDC, Kosagumuda, women members from SHGs like Maa Gayatri, Maa Pendrani, Maa Thakurani, and Mahavir Sakh Sahayaak Dal participated and helped in the preparation and distribution of various millet-based food items like Mandia Bora (millet fritters), Mandia Pakudi, Mandia Ladoo, Mandia Mixture, etc., to nearly 500 attendees.
Along with this, a Millet Awareness Chariot will tour around 26 Panchayats of the Kosagumuda Block from the 8th to the 11th of September, spreading awareness about millet consumption.
The program was successfully implemented with the support and cooperation of RCIDC’s CRP Bhagaban Bhatra, Dayanidhi Amanat, Phulsingh Kalar, Debanand Gouda, Lambodhar Mirgan, Chandrasinh Nayak, Sunil Kumar Choudhury, Abhijit Meher, and Snehansali Swain.
