Nabarangpur, Feb, 7::  On the occasion of Magha Shukla Ekadashi, the Ekadashi rituals of the deities and the Sri Satyanarayan Puja and Homa were performed on Thursday at the Sri Jagannath Temple in Nabarangpur.

Early in the morning, after the ceremonial opening of the temple doors (Dwara Phita Niti) of the deities, the Surya Puja and other customary rituals were completed, following which all the daily rituals and worship of the deities commenced.

On this occasion, under the supervision of Narsingh Nath Tripathy, Chief Advisor of the Temple Ritual Management Committee and Raj Purohit of Nabarangpur, the Sri Satyanarayan Brata, Puja, and Homa rituals were conducted within the temple premises. After the completion of the Satyanarayan Puja and the recitation of the Brata Katha (votive story), the Homa Yajna and related rituals were performed.

In the evening, after the completion of the Sandhya Aarti of the deities, the Purnahuti (final offering) of Sri Satyanarayan was performed, followed by Aarti and Pushpanjali rituals. Subsequently, the ceremonial procession (Bedha Niti) of the movable idols of the deities was held around the temple premises.

On the occasion of this grand Ekadashi ritual, hundreds of male and female devotees thronged the temple. The entire event was organized with the cooperation of the Sri Jagannath Temple Ritual Management Committee.

Among those present were Chief Advisor and Raj Purohit Narsingh Nath Tripathy; Advisor Jhadeswar Khadanga; temple priests Devi Nayak and Shubham Nayak; Lakshmi Temple priests Rabindra Kumar Satpathy and Sudhir Kumar Satpathy; Sumit Kumar Pal; Papu Tripathy; Saroj Kumar Patra; Bablu Das; Dipu Tripathy; Temple Committee President Naresh Kumar Tripathy; Vice-President Durga Tripathy; Treasurer Bhavani Shankar Satpathy; Secretary Kuna Patra; members C.H. Chittibabu, Damodar Tripathy, Jagannath Das, Narsingh Nayak, Meena Nayak, Chaitanya Nayak, along with other officials, members, and hundreds of Jagannath devotees.
