Malkangiri ,Feb, 10:The closing evening of Malyabanta Mahotsav–2026 turned out to be an unforgettable moment, as the skies of Malkangiri echoed with the vibrant sounds of culture and music.
The biggest attraction of the grand finale was renowned Bollywood singer Yasser Desai. For the first time in the history of Malyabanta Mahotsav, a Bollywood artist was invited to perform in Malkangiri district. As he rendered his melodious songs on stage, thousands of spectators were completely mesmerized, and the entire atmosphere became festive under the magic of his voice.
The colorful programme showcased not only Bollywood performances but also remarkable displays of traditional folk art. The evening began with a traditional animal mask dance and the famous Rinjodi Dhemba dance of Boipariguda, both of which won the hearts of the audience.
Additionally, an African tribal acrobatic dance presented by Aoma Gurukul of Malkangiri amazed everyone with its modern rhythm and style. During the musical night, Odia singer Sohini Mishra also performed alongside Yasser Desai, adding further charm to the evening. The dancers of the Aryan Group enhanced the performances with attractive backup dance presentations.
Finally, artists from Tekguda village staged the play “Kahara Dukha” (Whose Sorrow), bringing the historic festival to a successful and memorable conclusion.
