Nabarangpur, 22nd Sept 2025: On the occasion of the 61st Foundation Day of Akhil Bharatiya Terapanth Yuvak Parishad – the world’s largest blood donor organization – and to commemorate the birthday of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, a mega blood donation drive titled “Raktadaan Amrit Mahotsav 2.0” was organized on 17th September 2025 across India and abroad. Several ministries of the Government of India also participated in this noble initiative.
In Nabarangpur, the local branch of Terapanth Yuvak Parishad organized a successful blood donation camp at Chirayu Medical Store, where 66 individuals donated blood.
The event was attended by:
- Shri Balabhadra Majhi, Member of Parliament (Nabarangpur), as the Chief Guest.
- Gaurishankar Majhi, MLA of Nabarangpur, as the Guest of Honour.
- Shri Kunj Das, BJP District President.
- Shri Manas Ranjan Das, President of the Nabarangpur Traders’ Association.
- Additional dignitaries present included:
- Dr. Sushant Satpathy, Additional District Medical Officer, District Headquarters Hospital.
- Dr. Ashok Kumar Kantha, Chief Executive Officer, Municipality.
- Other esteemed guests, who motivated the blood donors and appreciated their service.
- Deepak Jain, President of the Parishad, welcomed all the guests to the program.
Lalit Jain and Tin Jain greeted the MP and MLA with flower bouquets.
As part of the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam 2.0” campaign launched by the Hon’ble Prime Minister, saplings were presented to the MP, MLA, and the Health Officer.
Shubham Jain, Secretary, and Dr. Shaili Jain were also welcomed with bouquets by the Parishad team, and they were thanked for participating in the event.
The Mahila Mandal opened the camp with mangalacharan (auspicious chanting) and Namaskar Mahamantra.
To inaugurate the blood donation drive, MP Shri Balabhadra Majhi himself donated blood, setting an example and raising awareness among other donors.
