Belagunta, 29th Oct 2025:  In Gobara block, along the main road, the Maa Shyamakali Puja has been underway with great enthusiasm since Saturday, organized under the auspices of the Shri Shri Kapileswar Yuvak Sangh.

Every morning, different types of puja rituals are being performed for the goddess, while in the evening, Aarti and Kanika offerings are arranged. Devotees are also given prasadam (blessed food) from various organizing committees each evening.

Each evening, hundreds of devotees gather to witness the Aarti of Maa Shyamakali. During Aarti, the sounds of traditional drums and shehnai, the fragrance of incense sticks, and the chants of devotees create a deeply spiritual atmosphere.

Along with the religious rituals, the cultural stage of the goddess’s puja features evening bhajans, melodies, comedy shows, and other cultural programs. Occasionally, dance performances by local artists enliven the stage.

The Gobara market is beautifully decorated with illuminated arches and lights, creating a festive ambiance. Every day, thousands of devotees from nearby villages come to have darshan of the goddess. On Wednesday night, MLA Neelamani Bishoyi visited Maa Shyamakali, offered prayers, and sought blessings for the development of the region.

Under the leadership of Gangapur police officer Banabihari Pradhan, the police force is ensuring law and order during the festivities.

Upcoming events include a lottery draw near the puja mandap on Tuesday, and the Visarjan (immersion) ceremony of the goddess on Wednesday.

The Kapileswar Yuvak Sangh members, led by President Sabyasachi Nayak, Vice President Krushnachandra Pattnaik, Editor Sushanti Kumar Jena, Treasurer A. Jitendra Patra, and Advisor Kailash Chandra Sahu, along with residents of Gobara and Basudebpur villages and main road locals, are actively cooperating in organizing the programs.
