Bhubaneswar, November 6: Education is the strongest foundation for success and self-reliance, said Odisha Governor Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati while interacting with participants of the 17th Tribal Youth Exchange Programme in Bhubaneswar.

The Governor held discussions with youth representatives from Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, and Maharashtra, encouraging them to stay informed about their rights, responsibilities, and welfare schemes aimed at tribal development.

Education: The Path to Empowerment

Dr. Kambhampati emphasized that education is not just about academics but also about building confidence, awareness, and leadership. He said that by pursuing higher education and skill-based learning, tribal youth can access better career opportunities and contribute meaningfully to the nation’s progress.

He urged the participants to take full advantage of the various central and state government initiatives designed to promote tribal welfare, entrepreneurship, and employment.

Health, Sports, and Lifestyle for Holistic Growth

The Governor also underlined the importance of maintaining good health and an active lifestyle. He encouraged young people to adopt balanced nutrition, physical fitness, and participation in sports, which not only strengthen the body but also teach discipline, teamwork, and resilience.

Dr. Kambhampati said that a healthy and aware youth population is vital for building a strong, inclusive, and progressive nation. He added that through sports, education, and social awareness, tribal youth can become leaders and role models in their communities.

Towards an Empowered Future

Concluding his address, the Governor urged the youth to dream big and work hard to achieve their goals. He stressed that awareness, education, and self-belief are the keys to empowerment.

“As India advances toward inclusive growth, tribal youth must take the lead in education, health, sports, and innovation. Their active participation will help build a confident and empowered tribal society,” he said.

The 17th Tribal Youth Exchange Programme served as a platform for sharing ideas, learning from experiences, and inspiring young participants to take forward the mission of development and empowerment with renewed energy and vision.
