Government to Provide House Rent Relief in Urban Areas

Bhubaneswar,  Feb, 9:   The government will provide rental housing to the urban poor.
Unused government houses will be given out on rent.
The Housing and Urban Development Department has issued a letter to identify vacant government houses.
Working women, in particular, will be provided houses on rent.
Rental housing will be provided under the Pradhan Mantri Urban Housing Scheme 2.0.
As per the guidelines, affordable rent will be offered under two models.
First, government houses will be rented out through public agencies.
Second, private institutions will construct houses and rent them out to the poor.
