Bhubaneswar22nd Aug 2025: The government has announced that childcare workers (Anganwadi workers) will be appointed in government-run Anganwadi centers. On Wednesday, the School and Mass Education Department issued guidelines detailing the criteria for these appointments.
According to the guidelines:22nd Aug 2025:
- An Anganwadi center with 30–100 children will have one childcare worker.
- Centers with more than 100 children will have two childcare workers.
- These guidelines follow the National Education Policy 2020.
Currently, in the state, there are ongoing Anganwadi operations with 310,839 children enrolled. It has been stated that childcare workers will soon be appointed to all these centers, ensuring proper care and early education for children.
