Government Issues ‘No Work, No Pay’ Warning to Employees

Bhubaneswar, 23rd Aug 2025:  Revenue Minister Suresh Pujari said the government is making alternative arrangements. “If you don’t work, salaries will be stopped,” warned the government to employees. “Whatever steps are required, the government will take them,” he added. His reaction came in response to the mass leave call by the Amala (employees’) association. The matter of their cadre restructuring has already been sent to the General Administration Department.“Going on mass leave without waiting for a decision is unacceptable,” the Minister stated. District Collectors have been instructed that leave applications will not be approved and will stand cancelled.
