Bhubaneswar: A physical survey will be conducted to identify genuine beneficiaries. After the survey, the final list of ration card beneficiaries will be determined, according to Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare Minister Krishna Chandra Patra.
As of now, 30,73,400 people have not yet completed their e-KYC. By March 31, the exact number of those who have not done e-KYC will be known. Following this, departmental officers will conduct field visits to verify why certain beneficiaries have not completed their e-KYC. However, the minister assured that ration cards will not be suddenly canceled.
Additionally, 6,35,000 applications have already been submitted through the portal. While the survey for these applicants is currently underway, it is expected to be completed by April 15. After that, new ration card beneficiaries will receive their rations. Furthermore, 50,000 new applications for ration cards have been submitted through the new portal.
Once all applications are processed, the sanctioning procedure will begin, the minister added.
