Government Grants Approval for New Bhubaneswar Development

Bhubaneswar, 17th Sept 2025:  In the 26th Cabinet meeting of the state government, five proposals from five departments were approved. The ‘New City Development’ plan was approved to create a modern and inclusive urban center. The New Bhubaneswar project will be developed in the areas of Gothapatna, Malipada, and Daspur. The project will be implemented over approximately 800 acres of land. It will be developed as a multi-economic growth zone linked to the vision of ‘Vikashit Odisha 2036’. The New City plan aims to provide housing for all, ensuring inclusivity. Homes of various types will be made available based on the needs and affordability of people from all income groups.
