Bhubaneswar: In a welcome move, the Odisha government has decided to increase the monthly salary of junior teachers (schematic) by ₹4,900. According to the proposal, after careful consideration, the government has increased the salaries of junior teachers working in primary and upper primary schools under the Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan.
School and Mass Education Minister Nityananda Gond announced the decision on social media platform X, stating that the salary of junior teachers (schematic) working in primary schools under Samagra Shiksha has been raised from Rs1,100 to Rs16,000. He expressed gratitude to Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi for this initiative, emphasizing that the decision will empower educators and strengthen the primary education system.
Major Announcement by the Mohan Government
The revised pay scale will come into effect from the date of issuance of the resolution, with approval from the Finance Department. The decision will be published in a special edition of the Odisha Gazette. On January 17, the Odisha Chief Minister approved the proposal, and the resolution was officially published on Wednesday.
