Government Announces Pension for All Eligible Beneficiaries, Bringing Financial Security and Relief to Thousands

Kotpad, Feb 25: The announcement in the Odisha Budget to provide pensions to all eligible beneficiaries has been welcomed in Kotpad. For many years, pension beneficiaries had been facing difficulties in receiving their pensions.
The previous government had set a target under the Madhu Babu Pension Yojana, making a rule that a new beneficiary could be included only after one existing beneficiary was removed. Due to this system, many eligible applicants were deprived of pensions for years despite submitting their applications.
At present, 943 applications of eligible beneficiaries are pending in Kotpad Block and NAC. The Kotpad Unnayan Parishad had demanded that pensions be provided to all eligible beneficiaries and had submitted a memorandum to Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi.
A related news report titled “Helpless Applications Stuck in Red Tape: 943 Eligible Beneficiaries’ Applications Pending in Kotpad Block and NAC” was published in Sambad on January 20.
After the government announced its pension decision in the current budget, Kotpad Unnayan Parishad President Pankaj Kumar Patra, Vice-President Pradeep Bakshi, Secretary Chinmaya Sadangi, NAC Chairman Shankar Rao, Block Chairman Kamala Bhatra, and Ghumar Sarpanch Kamala Pujari, among others, welcomed the move and expressed their gratitude to the Chief Minister.
