Under the leadership of Shobha Foundation Chairman and ‘Prakruti Bandhu’ awardee, senior journalist Gyan Ranjan Biswal, trees were planted every day during the seven-day celebration of Van Mahotsav.

Tree plantation drives were organized in multiple locations including:

The plantation focused on environmentally beneficial trees such as Baula (Bakul), Pistachio (Pista Badam), and Mango (Amba) saplings. These trees will help in:

Reducing pollution

Preventing soil erosion

Controlling global warming

Providing shade, fruits, and oxygen for humans, birds, and wild animals.

These efforts aim to protect Mother Earth from various natural disasters. Gyan Ranjan Biswal stated that such plantation programs will continue throughout the year, with plans to plant 2,000 palm saplings (Talmanji) in the near future.
