Goddess Mutyalamma Enthroned in New Temple at Kolnara

Kolnara: Goddess Mutyalamma has been ceremoniously installed in her newly built temple in Kolnara village. Alongside the consecration of the new temple, a grand entrance celebration was held.

The foundation rituals began on the 4th of this month, with the final ritual Purnahuti being performed on the 7th. Along with the installation of the main deity, idols of other associated deities such as Goddess Barahi, Narasimha, Chamunda, Singhmukhi, Vyaghramukhi, and the Navagrahas (Nine Planetary Gods) were also consecrated.

On the first evening, a large crowd of devotees from Kolnara and nearby villages gathered at the temple to witness the Aalati Darshan (ceremonial light offering). The entire event was organized and managed by the temple management committee.

Starting from the previous Sunday, various rituals such as Surya Puja (Sun worship), Go Puja (Cow worship), Mandala Puja, deity bathing, Chandi recitation, homa yajna (fire offerings), Prana Pratishtha (invocation of life into the deity), and temple purification ceremonies were conducted.

The religious rituals were led by priests Bishwanath Acharya, Neelamadhab Kar, Durgaprasad Mishra, Ashish Mishra, Lara Mishra, Pritam Kar, Babuni Mahapatra, Rajat Acharya, Santosh Sahu, Pitabas Mishra, Subhan Sahu, and Prashant Mahapatra.
