Gangpur Mourns Loss of Volunteer Akshaya Nayak at Age 40

Belaguntha Akshaya Nayak, a young volunteer from Gangpur village under Belaguntha Block, passed away prematurely at the age of 40. A few years ago, Akshaya had suffered a stroke and had undergone expensive treatment in Visakhapatnam, after which he had recovered.

However, recently his health deteriorated again, leaving him bedridden. Despite many efforts, he did not recover and eventually passed away.

At his deathbed were his wife, brother, sister, brother-in-law, daughter, nephew, niece, and other family members.

Akshaya was well-known in the Gangpur area as a benevolent, humble, and compassionate person, a lover of nature, and a dedicated blood donor.

He was also a skilled videographer and DJ operator, popular among local youth. His untimely death has cast a shadow of grief over the region.

Amid the presence of hundreds of villagers and well-wishers, his final rites were performed at the village cremation ground. His younger brother, Shishir, performed the last rites.

Akshaya is survived by a ten-year-old daughter. His death has left his family completely devastated.
