Jeypore : The Ghata Yatra of Ganga Maa concluded late Friday night at Gangnagar. On the final day, after the ceremonial tour around the local neighborhoods (sahi), rituals and worship were conducted at the Niti Kartha. Following this, a grand procession accompanied by traditional music was held, and the sacred pot (ghata) was immersed.
As in previous years, the Yatra had begun on Monday. Worship was first performed at the local Bhagabati Temple, and after receiving the divine command (ajnamala), the journey commenced. From Monday to Friday, the sacred pot of Maa Ganga was carried around different parts of the town.
Devotees offered their prayers and offerings with deep reverence near the symbolic presence of the goddess. Families prayed for the well-being and prosperity of their households through dedicated rituals and offerings.
