Puri: 3rd Nov 2025: A meeting was held under the chairmanship of the Chief Administrator of the Shri Jagannath Temple regarding the arrangements for the upcoming Panchuka. Several important decisions were made during the meeting. Considering the gathering of lakhs of devotees during Panchuka, it has been decided that devotees will enter the temple only through the Singhadwara (Lion Gate). This year, since Panchuka will last for four days instead of five, devotees will take darshan (viewing of the deity) in a systematic manner, entering only through the Singhadwara. After darshan, arrangements have been made for them to exit through the other three gates.
During Panchuka, it was also decided in the meeting that Mahaprasad will be distributed free of cost to devotees by the sevayats (temple servitors). While discussing the darshan arrangements with the sevayats, it was clarified that on Kartik Purnima, even the Tarakaṭha darshan will not take place.
For the first three days of Panchuka, devotees will have darshan from outside the temple. During the meeting, arrangements were made to provide all types of facilities and services for the convenience of the devotees. Similarly, during Panchuka, the temple administration and management committee members, along with administrative officials, will be present inside the temple to supervise and manage the process.
For the convenience of devotees, barricades will be set up along the big path for darshan, and emergency medical facilities, including Ashu Chikitsa Kendra, will also be open, as informed by the Chief Administrator of Shri Jagannath Temple.
