Jharigaon, Jan, 10:  The Karmari Government Upper Primary School, located under Belgaon Panchayat of Jharigaon Block in Nabarangpur district, has been included under the Godabarish Mishra Model Primary School scheme. On this occasion, the foundation stone for the school was formally laid today within the school premises.

On this auspicious occasion, Jharigaon MLA Narsingh Bhatra attended the program as the Chief Guest. Among the distinguished guests present were Jharigaon Tahsildar Sumanta Patra, MP’s Representative Chandrabhanu Nayak, Jharigaon Additional Cluster Education Officer Dasharath Gand, Headmistress of the school Nirupama Swain, and BJP District Secretary Sumitra Majhi, among others.

Honourable Chief Minister, through video conferencing, laid the foundation stone for 1,186 schools across the state under the Godabarish Mishra Model School initiative. On this occasion, he highlighted the life, philosophy, and invaluable contributions of Pandit Godabarish Mishra towards education and society.

The guests also spoke about Pandit Godabarish Mishra, describing him as a renowned poet, writer, short story writer, dramatist, novelist, narrator, and an ideal teacher. He was associated with the Satyabadi Bana Vidyalaya as a model teacher and was one of the Panchasakha.

The dignitaries emphasized that the state government has launched this scheme with the objective of strengthening the foundation of primary education and providing quality education to students.
