Bhubaneswar, Jan, 16: The foundation stone for 118 Godabarish Mishra Adarsha Primary Schools has been laid across the state in the first phase.
The Chief Minister inaugurated the programme by laying the foundation stone at a special event in Banpur.
For this ambitious education initiative, the Odisha Government has allocated Rs 12,000 crore.
Each school will be constructed at a cost of Rs5 to Rs 7 crore.
The schools will be built on five-acre greenfield sites located near Panchayat offices.
If sufficient land is not available, the schools will be set up in densely populated areas.
These modern model schools aim to strengthen the foundation of primary education and provide high-quality learning facilities to children across Odisha.
