Jharigaon, Jan, 07:  The 101st birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee was observed today by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) at the Mini Stadium premises located at the Jharigaon Block headquarters in Nabarangpur district.

The programme was attended as the chief guest by Jharigaon MLA Narsingh Bhatra. Among the distinguished guests were Sona Majhi, representative of the Umarkote MLA; Shyamsundar Majhi, President of the ST Morcha; Jagadish Kalar, State Executive Committee Member; Chitra Prasad Tiwari, ATMA Chairman; District Secretary Bulu Sadangi; and party leaders Pratap Bagh, Maheshwar Tiwari, Manu Bhatra, Digambar Santa, Bhujabal Goud, Ishwar Bhatra, Prabhu Pradhani, Gajendra Pandey, Pustam Gond, Sudam Tiwari, along with many other BJP functionaries.

Addressing the gathering, chief guest Narsingh Bhatra spoke at length on the life and ideals of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. He described Vajpayee as a visionary statesman, a guide of good governance, a globally respected leader, the architect of modern India, and a source of inspiration for all. He said Vajpayee was a staunch nationalist and a humanist leader, whose personality was unique.

He further stated that Vajpayee was the true architect who transformed “politics into nation-building (Rashtra Neeti)”. Every decision taken by him resonated with the spirit of national development and public welfare. Hisg illustrious life, dedicated to the service of Mother India, and his ideals would continue to inspire people to build a developed and prosperous India, he added.
