Former Panchayat Samiti Chairman Trinath Bhumia Rescued by BJD Workers in Malkangiri

Malkangiri: Trinath Pangi, a resident of Kenduguda village under Jodamba Panchayat in the Swabhiman area of Chitrakonda constituency in Malkangiri district, had been missing for nearly a month. Due to mental health issues, he was unable to recall his home address or recognize his family members, which led him to wander away to another village.

Upon receiving information about his disappearance, Mathili Block BJD President Sadashiv Pujari contacted Kuldeep Sagaria of Komarpalli over the phone. Through this communication, they traced Trinath’s whereabouts to Pushpal, a village located near the Chhattisgarh border.

Following this, social worker and Mathili Block BJD President Sadashiv Pujari personally visited the village and successfully rescued Trinath Pangi. He was accompanied by Chitrakonda constituency BJD President Ramchandra Gole.

In addition, many others extended their support in the rescue, including Khairput Block President Sadhu Hantal, Kudumulugumma Sarpanch Mangala Madhi, Pitambar Khemudu, Mathili Block leaders Chaula Mendi, Gram Panchayat President Madhav Nali, and Budu Pangi. With their collective effort, Trinath was safely returned and handed over to his family members.

This humanitarian act has been widely appreciated by the locals. The residents of the Swabhiman area and Trinath’s family expressed their gratitude to Sadashiv Pujari and Ramchandra Gole for their timely intervention and support in saving a life.
