Forest Minister Ganesh Ram Singh Khuntia on One-Day Tour of Koraput District

Koraput: On a one-day visit to Koraput district, the State Minister for Environment and Forest, Ganesh Ram Singh Khuntia, participated in various programs. He first inaugurated a blood donation camp organized by the District Excise Department at Koraput Police Ground. At the camp, 115 units of blood were collected from officials and staff of various departments.

Present at the blood donation program were Koraput MLA Raghuram Machha, District Collector V. Keerthi Vasan, SP Rohit Verma, District Excise Superintendent Arun Padhi, and Excise Inspector Sudhir Sahu, among others.

Later, the minister inaugurated the newly constructed Conference and Control Room at the Koraput Forest Division Office. He also flagged off a development vehicle (rath) for a sapling plantation campaign in the name of Mother Earth.

He reviewed the various programs of the Forest Department and held discussions with Collector V. Keerthi Vasan and Divisional Forest Officer K.V. Bhaskar Rao. Among those present were Regional Chief Conservator of Forests Prasanna Kumar Behera, Assistant Conservator of Forests Jagannath Prasad Bishoi, and others.

Koraput Forest Range Officer S.K. Pahadsingh conducted the review session.
