Digaphandi,: In Digaphandi, under the jurisdiction of the Digaphandi block, an injured deer was found trapped in a pond in Kandasar village, part of the Turubudi Gram Panchayat. Early on Sunday morning, local villagers noticed the deer stuck in the water and managed to rescue it. Upon receiving the information, the Forest Department intervened and successfully rescued the deer from the villagers. The deer had a broken leg, and it was taken to the Digaphandi Animal Treatment Center for medical care. After receiving treatment and fully recovering, the deer was released back into the forest. Forest official Santosh Kumar Bisoyi provided the update. The efforts of the forest staff have been widely praised by the local community, especially in regions like Badashankha, Ladi, Gokarnapur, and others, where wildlife is frequently encountered. Additionally, there are concerns about the dangers posed to wildlife by electric wires in the area, especially in the bill-mal area.
