Puri: The world-famous Rath Yatra in Puri is set to take place on June 27 this year. To ensure a well-organized and disciplined event, the first preparatory meeting was held today at the DGP’s camp office in Bhubaneswar under the chairmanship of the Director General of Police (DGP) of the state, Shri Yogesh Bahadur Khurania.
In light of the anticipated large crowd and challenges faced in previous years, the DGP instructed senior police officials to begin extensive preparations well in advance. The rituals of Lord Jagannath will be observed on various dates following temple traditions. Millions of devotees from across India and abroad are expected to gather in Puri for the occasion. Additionally, several distinguished personalities are likely to attend the Rath Yatra.

Effective traffic management
Measures to prevent issues like fraudulent touting
Arrangements for vehicle parkingDedicated helipads for VIPs

Structured arrangements for hassle-free darshan by devotees
