Jeypore, 14th Nov 2025: An OSRTC bus caught fire and was completely burned at Salur Ghati in the Pattangi block of Koraput district. According to reports, the bus was traveling from Visakhapatnam to Jeypore when a short circuit at Salur Ghati caused it to catch fire. Seeing the fire, the driver stopped the bus on the ghati (hill) and safely evacuated all passengers. The fire department was immediately informed.
The fire brigade arrived at the scene and brought the fire under control. All passengers are reported to be safe.
