Jeypore,4th Sept 2025: Efforts are underway to resolve the fertilizer shortage problem in Koraput district. Farmers were worried due to the unavailability of fertilizer at the right time. Today, fertilizer stocks from IPOL and BVFCL have arrived. It is said that from tomorrow onwards, the fertilizer distribution process will return to normal.
Koraput district had been facing a fertilizer crisis. Farmers were standing in lines with their Aadhaar cards and were only able to get a limited quantity of fertilizer over two days. The state government had directed the district administration to investigate the shortage and illegal sales. On the 26th of this month, leaders of three political parties had raised their voices about the issue in Jeypore.
