Nabarangpur,Nov 22 :For the welfare of farmers across the country, the 21st installment of financial assistance under the Prime Minister’s PM-Kisan Scheme was successfully distributed at the Nabarangpur Mission Shakti Conference Hall and the Umarkot Agricultural Science Center.
The Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the program nationally through live broadcast from Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. The event was also graced by MLA Gauri Shankar Majhi and Additional District Collector (General) Tapan Kumar Khuntia, who formally inaugurated the program. They conveyed their best wishes to the farmers and highlighted the significant role of the PM-Kisan scheme in empowering farmers financially.
A total of 900 farmers from the blocks of Nabarangpur, Nandahandi, and Tentulikhunti participated in the program. At Umarkot Agricultural Science Center, Lok Sabha MP Balabhadra Majhi, as the chief guest, addressed the farmers, assuring them that the financial support would contribute significantly to agricultural development. Alongside the MP, Kunj Bihari Das, Basanti Majhi, Ram Nayak, and other agricultural officers were present.
A total of 10,4093 farmers’ accounts received ₹20,000 each, totaling ₹20,81,86,000, on Wednesday. This financial assistance is expected to inspire farmers in the district to engage in farming with renewed enthusiasm, hope, and motivation for a better agricultural future.
The direct distribution program by Mission Shakti Samilani was also attended by officials including DIPR Manoj Behera, Jalchhaya Prak Kalp Director Chintamani Behera, all block-level agricultural officers, assistant agricultural officers, and other staff from the Agriculture Department.
