Farmer Electrocuted by Live Wire in Nabarangpur’s Nandahandi Block

Nabarangpur, A 58-year-old farmer, Kirtan Saura, from Meranas village in Nandahandi block, Nabarangpur district, tragically lost his life after coming into contact with a live electric wire.

According to reports, around 8 AM, after having tea at home, Kirtan Saura went to a nearby maize field to cut grass for his cows and oxen. While doing so, he unknowingly came into contact with a fallen electric wire and died on the spot.

It is believed that the wire may have fallen due to strong winds, rain, or possibly been pulled down by grazing cattle. Some local residents speculated that Saura might have accidentally cut the wire while cutting grass, leading to his electrocution.

The incident has sparked discussions in the area, with locals informing the Tentulikhunti police, who were expected to arrive at the scene. Residents were seen waiting for the police to take necessary action.
