Bhubaneswar: In line with the National Education Policy 2020, a special initiative called “Yadupedi” (Magic Kit) has been conceptualized for young children. The kit, developed by NCERT, is designed specifically for pre-primary, Grade 1, and Grade 2 students. Each kit costs around ₹20,000.
These kits will be distributed across 45,000 schools in Odisha, with a total budget of ₹90 crore allocated for the project.
On Tuesday, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi visited Lok Seva Bhawan to personally observe the “Yadupedi” kit meant for early childhood learners and understand its benefits. Shalini Pandit, Commissioner-cum-Secretary of the School and Mass Education Department, briefed the Chief Minister on the various components included in the kit.
The Chief Minister stated that the toys and materials in the “Yadupedi” will help children learn about useful items in their surroundings and understand their practical uses through play-based learning.
