Umerkote, 7th Nov 2025: Balakrishna Patra, an ideal lawyer from Umerkote, passed away while undergoing treatment in Visakhapatnam at around 10:00 p.m. on 05/11/2025. He was widely respected in the legal fraternity for his integrity, simplicity, and commitment to justice. Known as a guiding figure for many young advocates, he had served the people of Umerkote with dedication for several decades. His untimely demise has cast a shadow of grief over the local bar association and the community at large. Colleagues and well-wishers remembered him as a compassionate individual who always stood by the truth and worked tirelessly for the welfare of society. His mortal remains are expected to be brought to Umerkote for the last rites, where numerous admirers are likely to pay their final respects.
