Kotpad: The Kotpad Block office, which has been a topic of discussion for some time, has recently made headlines again for a change in the discussion agenda. This time, the issue revolves around the MLA’s decision to boycott the councillor meeting, which has sparked a heated debate.

It has been revealed that some officials have been replaced, but the locals continue to express dissatisfaction with the lack of development in the area. Despite spending large sums of money every month on sanitation, the residents have complained that the area continues to look neglected. Previously, no money had been collected for sanitation, but now a fee of ₹40 to ₹50 is being charged from every house and shop for cleaning services, which residents feel is unjustified.

It appears that some councillors are allegedly involved in corruption and are reportedly pocketing money intended for sanitation, while ignoring the development needs of the area. Despite repeated complaints, they have shown little interest in improving the area, focusing more on their own advancement.

Local residents have complained about poor sanitation and irregular cleaning, with some councillors even accused of misappropriating funds meant for sanitation. This situation has led to frustration among the public. The MLA, Rupoo Bhattarai, and MP Rameshwar Jena are said to have boycotted the meeting, expressing their dissatisfaction with the councillors’ actions.

Local residents have made it clear that if they report issues regarding sanitation, the authorities will take action against the concerned individuals. However, many are still afraid to speak out, fearing possible retaliation.
