Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Electricity Regulatory Commission (OERC) will hold hearings on the proposals submitted by various electricity distribution companies for determining power tariffs for the 2025-26 financial year. The hearings will begin on February 17 and continue until February 27.
If the OERC approves the proposals, electricity tariffs may increase from April. Notably, for the past three consecutive years, there has been no increase in electricity rates in the state. While tariffs remained unchanged for two years, last year, domestic consumers received a relief of 10 paise per unit.
According to sources, the OERC will review the proposals submitted by different power distribution companies starting February 17.
