Malkangiri The Election Commission of India (ECI) is soon launching an integrated digital platform named ‘ECI Net’, which aims to significantly improve user experience by merging around 40 individual IT applications into a single, unified app.
This strategic move will benefit voters, election officials, political parties, and civil society by offering a user-friendly and convenient digital interface. ECI Net will serve as a one-stop platform featuring an attractive UI (User Interface) and seamless UX (User Experience), eliminating the need for users to download multiple apps or manage different login credentials.
The concept of this platform was introduced by Chief Election Commissioner Shri Gyanesh Kumar during the CEO Conference held in March 2025. Through ECI Net, users will be able to access relevant information directly via desktop or smartphone. To ensure data authenticity, all information displayed will be verified and updated only by authorized ECI officials. In case of any discrepancies, only properly submitted official forms will be considered valid.
The new platform will integrate key services previously offered by standalone apps like:
Voter Helpline
Voter Turnout app
cVIGIL
Suvidha
EMS (Election Management System)
Saksham
KYC, and many others
Nearly 100 crore voters, 10.5 lakh Booth Level Officers (BLOs), 4.5 million polling staff, 15,597 Assistant Returning Officers (AROs), 4,123 Electoral Registration Officers (EROs), and 767 District Election Officers (DEOs) will benefit from this transformation.
The development of ECI Net has reached its final phase, undergoing rigorous testing for user-friendliness, performance efficiency, and cybersecurity. The project has seen the active participation of CEOs from all states and union territories, DEOs, EROs, and BLOs nationwide.
