Bhubaneswar, Feb, 18:Booth Level Officers (BLOs) will not be engaged in the upcoming census work. Since mapping is required for the Special Identification Register (SIR), BLOs will devote their time to this task. The state Chief Election Officer is set to start the SIR process very soon.
A review meeting was held regarding BLOs who had performed poorly over the past two days. The meeting concluded that BLOs must be given separate time for mapping after completing their usual duties, as accurate mapping is crucial for the SIR. This will ensure that the SIR process in the state is carried out properly. Considering this, BLOs have been instructed not to participate in the census work.
