Jeypore,Dec, 23: The announcement of the elected office-bearers and the oath-taking ceremony of the Odisha Employees’ Association, Koraput district branch, was held on 14.12.2025. The State Association had fixed the date and also appointed election observers for the process.
The programme was organised at Jagpur Yadav Bhavan under the supervision of the Odisha Employees’ Association State Additional General Secretary, Shashibhusan. Leaders from Malkangiri and Nabarangpur districts attended as state observers, while hundreds of employees working in various departments under the Koraput district branch participated in the event.
At the beginning, Shri Dash initiated the proceedings by inviting the guests to take their seats on the dais and expressed gratitude to all media representatives. He acknowledged the selfless service of media persons and thanked them for their impartial and dedicated news coverage.
The gathering expressed deep condolence over the tragic demise of media representative late Ashok Palai, who lost his life in a road accident. Prayers were offered for the peace of his departed soul, and all present observed a few minutes of silence in his memory.
Subsequently, the election results were formally announced. Shri Jagannath Majhi was declared President, Shri Jagendra Choudhury as Secretary, and Shri Nageshwar Rao as Treasurer. Shri Srinivas Rao was elected as Chairman, Kailash Samantaray as Chief Advisor, and Shri Rajendra Narayan Padhi and Sundarban Panda as Advisors, along with other office-bearers for various posts.
The announcement was made in the presence of State Election Observers Shri Shyamsundar Nayak and Shri Arun Kumar Rath, along with several other dignitaries who attended the ceremony.
