Nabarangpur, 20th Sept 2025: A mass tree plantation drive was carried out in Taragaon Gram Panchayat of Kosagumuda block. As part of the Central Government’s environmental protection initiative, the second edition of the campaign ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’, which started last year, was successfully organized in the Taragaon Gram Panchayat.
On 17th September 2025, from sunrise to sunset, a total of 500 saplings were planted in all educational institutions and the Gram Panchayat office under this program.
The event saw active participation from various dignitaries and community members including:

- Teacher Madan Harijan

Other members of the Gram Panchayat, Anganwadi workers, GRS, and respected individuals of the Taragaon Gram Panchayat.
At the end of the event, a resolution was made by the Gram Panchayat to ensure the protection and monitoring of the planted trees for the next three years.
