Umarkote: To ensure the proper management of hostels meant for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe students, Minister of School and Mass Education, as well as the SC & ST Development Department, Shri Nityananda Ganda, has issued directives. He emphasized that if any shortcomings are found in the arrangements for the SC/ST students residing in Anvesha Hostels, strict action will be taken.
Today, Minister Shri Nityananda Ganda visited the Anvesha Hostel in the Umarkote block of Nabarangpur district. During his visit, he interacted with the hostel residents to understand their facilities and issues. He was informed that for the past two years, students had not received uniforms from a specific private school, prompting him to question the school authorities.
Additionally, he held discussions with the officials responsible for hostel management regarding the existing arrangements. The minister instructed that special care should be taken to ensure that students can reside in the hostel comfortably and focus on their studies.
