Education Dept Secretary Distributes Invitation Letters for School Enrollment Festival

Papadahandi,  – In various schools under the Semala Regional Resource Center in Papadahandi Block, headmasters distributed invitation letters from the Chief Minister to parents and guardians of children eligible for Bal Vatika (age 5+) and Class 1 (age 6+) as part of the School Enrollment Festival.

The initiative was led by C.R.C.C. Babulal Sagar, along with Assistant Teacher Minati Majhi of Dumuripadar Government Primary School and Headmistress Surekha Bagh of Pakanaguda Government Primary School. They personally visited villages, greeted families in their local tribal language, and handed over the Chief Minister’s invitation letters to parents, guardians, and extended family members like uncles and grandfathers.

Community Response & Impact

Villagers expressed joy and appreciation, stating, “It feels special that the Chief Minister is thinking about our children’s education, and teachers are coming to our homes to invite us.”

The community warmly welcomed and praised the efforts of the headmasters and C.R.C.C. officers.

The initiative created awareness and motivation for parents to enroll their children in school.

On this occasion, Odisha’s Education Department Secretary, Smt. Shalini Pandit, District Collector Shri Subhankar Mahapatra, and District Education Officer Shri Chhatrapati Sahu led the efforts to encourage parents to enroll their children. The move has been widely discussed among intellectuals as a positive step towards universal education and awareness.
