Nabarangpur , Nov 24: The Dream Dance Academy in Umarkot of the district celebrated its third annual day with great enthusiasm and festive spirit. On this occasion, the students of the academy performed Odissi, modern, cultural, and folk dances, captivating the audience with their performances on stage.
The beautifully decorated venue, along with rhythmic music, created an enchanting atmosphere. The cultural programs, graceful poses, and the evident hard work of the performers attracted everyone present.
The principal of the academy, Mandira Sarkar, said, “Art is the essence of life. Our children are constantly striving to take traditional Odissi dance forward, and our continuous effort is to help them achieve this. My aim is to take Odissi from here to the state and national stages.”
The program was graced by prominent guests and dignitaries, including social worker Rashmi Ranjan Parida, artist Shantilata Mahanti, lawyer Sunaraj Ganda, legislative representative Radha Bhatra, legislator Ashok Padhi, and executive officer Alok Kumar Anu, who appreciated the academy’s efforts, structured training, and the talent of the students.
Particularly, children from remote areas of Umarkot were able to showcase their artistic talent on such a stage and received praise from the audience. Students who participated in the program were awarded certificates and prizes.
The audience expressed hope that in the coming days, this academy would grow into an important center for art and culture in the region.
