Umarkot, Nov 22 : The third annual day of Dream Dance Academy was celebrated with great enthusiasm and festive spirit in Umarkot, Nabarangpur district. On this occasion, students of the academy mesmerized the audience with performances in Odissi, modern, cultural, and folk dance forms.
The stage was adorned with beautiful lighting, decorations, and rhythmic music, creating an electrifying atmosphere at the Gulipatan Shiva Temple premises. The cultural programs, graceful performances, and dedication of the artists captured everyone’s attention.
Principal Mandira Sarkar said that art is the soul of life, and through consistent efforts, their students are learning how to carry forward Odissi and other traditional dances of Odisha. She expressed her aim to take Odissi dance from this academy to state and national stages.
The event was attended by distinguished guests, including social worker Rashmi Ranj Parida, artist Shadhilata Mahanti, lawyer Sunaraj Ganda, chairperson Radha Bhatra, MLA representative Ashok Padhi, executive officer Alok Loka Kumar Anugulia, among others. They appreciated the academy’s efforts, structured training, and the talent of the students.
Children from remote areas of Umarkot received special praise for showcasing their skills on stage. Certificates and awards were distributed to all participating students. The audience expressed hope that Dream Dance Academy will continue to grow as a significant center for art and culture in the region in the coming years.
