Buguda, Jan, 15: Dr. Kumud Chandra Behera, Director of a local voluntary organization, has earned the honour of being included in the prestigious UN Book of World Records.
For over 30 years, he has been actively working for the development of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes in the fields of education, healthcare, culture, agriculture, and watershed projects. Through organized efforts, he has motivated and empowered around 31,000 youths, spreading the message of world peace and helping them stand successfully in the mainstream of society. This outstanding contribution has earned him this recognition.
With the support of the voluntary organization ‘India’, he has been continuously involved in social service and the promotion of world peace across districts such as Ganjam, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Nabarangpur, and Keonjhar. He is also associated with several national and international social organizations.
On receiving this honour, Dr. Kumud Chandra Behera has received warm congratulations from various quarters, it was reported.
