Gunpur, Nov 29: Under the Odisha State Government, the Odisha Natak Academy recognized Dr. Chandan Gantayat, a young vocalist from the Gunpur region and a specialist in Sugam Sangeet, with the “Kabichandra Kalicharan Yuva Pratibha Samman 2023” on Wednesday. The award ceremony was organized at the Lokseva Bhawan auditorium in Bhubaneswar.
Dr. Chandan, an acclaimed vocalist with All India Radio, was honored for his beautiful singing and remarkable contributions to the field of Sugam Sangeet. The program was graced by the presence of the State Culture Minister Surjyabanshi Suraj, MLA Babu Singh, MLA and actor Siddhanta Mahapatra, MLA and actor Akash Dasnayak, and Secretary of Odisha Natak Academy, Chandrashekhar Hota, who presented the award, citation, and prize money to the young musician.
