Chilika Development Authority and IIT Chennai directed to prepare the DPR
Due to siltation at the lake mouth, water is not flowing properly into the sea
Seawater is also unable to enter Chilika properly
The salinity of Chilika’s water is being lost, and ecological (biodiversity) balance is not being maintained
